2026, Here I Come…

Happy New Year, y’all!

Okay, so I know I’m four days late in saying that, but I do have reasons. I’m not completely slacking off at the beginning of the year. In fact, I’m not slacking off at all. I’ve been extremely busy for the last couple of months.

As for what’s going on at home…

I’m not sure if you remember, but 2 years ago, my sweet Hennessy had to undergo surgery to repair his leg. He was born with Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy (HOD), which is a painful developmental bone disease. He has inflammation in his bones and severe arthritis in most of his joints, which causes him discomfort and for his gait to be a little off.

Now, he’s a true-blue golden retriever, so he thinks he should be running and playing and doing everything Moscato does whenever he wants. He doesn’t slow down, and they like to “wrestle” a lot. I think that wrestling is how he injured himself this time.

For the most part, you wouldn’t know he has problems, and as I said, he plays hard, but he has been on medicine since he was born, and he has undergone one surgery on his left hind leg. He hasn’t had any issues with that leg since the surgery, but now it appears the same issue may be occurring in his right hind leg. Our vet has referred us to an orthopedic veterinarian (the same one who did the original surgery) to see what’s going on. I’ll keep you updated.

As for what’s going on at work…

I wish I could say I’ve been writing, but that’s not the case. Not much, anyway.

I have, however, been working on my books. I recently got the publishing rights for my Alluring Indulgence series back (best news EVER!), so I’ve been hanging out with my beloved Walker brothers. I have been reading them from the beginning and I’m currently on Braydon.

Those eight books will be re-releasing in the upcoming months with a few changes:

They will now be in the Walkers of Coyote Ridge series (same title, same story)
They will all have new covers
They’ve undergone another round of editing
Last but not least, they are being converted to 1st person POV. (The original 3rd person POV books are still available in paperback until my supply runs out.)

I’ve also been making some major updates to my online store, doing some updates and fixes for Nicole Nation, and working on more to come.

I’m sure you’re curious about what’s coming next on the writing front. To be fair, I am too. LOL I honestly do not know. I’m working on a few things, but nothing is holding my attention for long. I’m just not connecting with my characters, and that’s probably because there are a lot of other things going on. As soon as I know for sure, I’ll be sure to shout it across the rooftops so you’ll know, too.
