My intention is to always have one main focus when I’m writing. There are times when I’ll get frustrated with myself, the storyline, the characters … you get the idea. I wish I could say that I just power through, but I can’t. During times like that, I tend to look at other projects, putting my frustration on hold. I do frequently look back at projects I’ve got in the works, though. And on the rare (very, very rare) occasion, I’ll work on two books simultaneously. Especially if they are part of my overlapping series.
Active Series…
The Coyote Ridge Universe
It all started with the Walker brothers and the universe has continued from there. While there are 2 books in the Jamesons of Coyote Ridge series, I need to get a timeline issue resolved in the Brantley Walker: Off the Books series. Once that happens, I can move forward on that series as well. In the meantime, I’m focused on Brantley and the team.
Oh, I guess I should mention that the Lambert sisters (from the Dead Heat Ranch series) will be getting their books, but they will be written in the other Coyote Ridge series.

If you’re confused by the series name, you might know this one better as Sniper 1 Security, Devil’s Playground, or Southern Boy Mafia. I am in the process of combining them into one series since they all revolve around the same families.
I get a lot of requests for more of this, and I will say, I’m working on it. If you’ve read the Brantley Walker: Off the Books series, you know that the task force is now under the umbrella of Sniper 1 Security.

I adore the Misplaced Halos series, and I revisit it often, trying to decide what to do about it. Unfortunately, the series did not do well upon release, and considering the time and effort required to build this world, I’m not sure it’s something I can continue with. I am keeping it on my “Active Series” list, though, because you never know what tomorrow might bring.
Although I gave a lot of thought to writing another Naughty Holidays book this year (2025), I decided I needed to hold off one more year due to timeline issues I’m working out in one of my series. As soon as that’s resolved, I’ll get one out for you, I promise.
I am currently working on an idea that came to me when I was writing the Primal Instincts books. It’s a “why choose” romance that’s sexy and hot and … well, I can’t tell you more than that.
