From the time we were old enough to look forward to the future, we came up with one plan: move to Coyote Ridge, buy a ranch, and find a good woman to settle down with.
The first was easy. Our family welcomed us with open arms, and while we waited for a ranch or the land needed to build one to become available, we stepped in to help out wherever we could.
The second was a little more difficult. Real estate in Coyote Ridge wasn’t readily available, but we are nothing if not patient.
The third … well, that was another story altogether. We’ve had our sights set on Bristol Newton for a while now, and despite our best efforts, she’s keeping us at arm’s length. So what’s a man to do? We agree to be auctioned off to the highest bidder. It’s for a good cause, after all.
If you’re thinking she was the highest bidder, you’d be wrong. However, one mind-blowing night with her did change our lives. In ways none of us expected.
