So does the sex.
Finding out we’re actually husband and wife? That takes a little longer.
We could panic. We could get an annulment. Instead, we decide to ignore the marriage for a while and enjoy the benefits. After all, we’re still Chase and Cassie. Best friends. Nothing has to change.
Except Chase doesn’t seem interested in pretending nothing has changed.
And the harder I fight to put us back on our respective sides of the line, the more I have to wonder whether crossing it was really a mistake at all.
