“Have I mentioned how much I don’t like the dentist?”
“Yes, you have.” About a million times. Tag eyed McKenna when she strolled into the bedroom for the fourth time since she climbed out of bed not thirty minutes ago.
“Well, I’m mentioning it again.”
“I thought she was a friend of yours?” he asked, referring to the dentist.
“She is. And if it weren’t for the fact she wants to stick her hands in my mouth all the time, I might consider taking her to lunch.”
Tag smiled. He knew McKenna was not at all fond of going to the dentist.
“Do you think it’s too late for me to cancel my appointment?” she asked, flopping onto the side of the bed.
“It’s too late, darlin’,” he assured her.
“Are you sure?” she asked again, turning to face him, her eyes hooded and full of… mischief.
“Oh no, I’m not giving you an out on this one,” he said, his body immediately responding to that sexy gleam in her eyes.
“But –”
“But nothin’. It’s time to get your sexy ass to the dentist. Just think, you only have to spend one hour with her every six months.”
“Ugghhh,” McKenna moaned. “Why do my friends have to be so demanding?”
Tag laughed as he watched McKenna head for the door. When she turned back, he expected her to be scowling. Instead, she shot him a brilliant smile. “Ok, fine. I’ll go to the dentist. But this is all your fault. And to think, I was considering letting you put something in my mouth.”
It was Tag’s turn to groan as he watched McKenna disappear from their bedroom. God, the woman was going to be the death of him.
