Ramblings of a Writer Blog

Because we’re counting down the days until CURTIS, I thought it would be interesting to get the Walker brothers to share with us some of their memorable moments. In talking to them, I asked them to write a letter to their parents, recalling one or more of those moments. Each day you’ll see a new letter from one of the brothers. I hope you enjoy!!!

Letter from Brendon Walker

Dear Mom & Pop,

When Nicole asked me to come up with a memorable moment, I have to say, I was worried. Only because I wasn’t sure I could think of just one. There are so many great ones to choose from. But, I’m curious, which one is your favorite?

I remember the time when Braydon wouldn’t give me something that I wanted. We were like six at the time. I kept pulling him around by his arm until I pulled it right out of the socket. Of course, I felt bad at the time, but the funny part came when he couldn’t walk because of it. His injury had nothing to do with his legs, but for some reason he thought he couldn’t walk. Luckily, the doctor got that sucker right back where it belonged and his legs worked again. Ha!

Or, what about the time when I carved Braydon’s name into the bathroom counter? Remember that? I wanted him to get in trouble. Wait, now that I think about it, maybe you didn’t know that was me. Never mind. That was really Braydon.

Regardless of all the crap we put you through, I hope you know how much we love you. Me especially. I love you the most.

Love,
Brendon
